Dear Clarke Community Family,
With the resurgence of the COVID-19 virus in our area and the new guidance from the CDC and our local public health, we would like to clarify the guidelines that we will be following within our school system.
If a student or employee tests positive for COVID we will follow the guidance listed below:
1. The student or employee will be out of the district for the first 5 days.
2. The student or employee will be able to return to the district if on day 6:
They are symptom free
AND
Wear a mask while in the building through day 10
OR
3. The student or employee can remain home through day 10 if:
They are still having symptoms
OR
Can not or Will not wear a mask while in the building through day 10
Please contact your student’s school nurse if they or someone in the home has tested positive for the COVID virus. This simple communication will help us to ensure that we are keeping our students and staff as safe as possible and monitoring our students' attendance in a respectable manner for each household.
Additional guidance or clarification of these procedures can be found at the following website:

Once again we greatly appreciate your help in keeping our students, employees and community as safe as possible. Thank you for all you do as we navigate through this unprecedented pandemic.
Sincerely,
Alan R. Dykens, EdD
Superintendent
