It may not feel like Summer is around the corner with how our Spring has gone, but it's time to register for Summer sports.    Baseball and Softball are the two summer sports that the state offers.  

Please read the following carefully as who can play summer sports is a bit more complicated than during the school year. 

 For softball this summer, 6th graders will be allowed to play Middle School sports as this is allowed under the state rules.  We understand that some will also being playing on Park & Rec teams, but that is ok and will work since those games are in the evenings and MS is played in the mornings.  We want our kids to get as much experience as possible

So all current girls in 6th grade and 7th grade will be able to play the MS schedule.  You will need to register under the Middle School Registration link.  

For Softball only...the 8th graders will be playing up with the High School, so you will need to register under the High School Registration link.  This is done so that we can play 3 different full schedules of high school softball with 9th, JV and Varsity teams.

For Baseball only...the 7th and 8th graders will primarily be playing the Middle School schedule, so you will need to sign up under the Middle School Registration to start with.  We may also open up 6th graders to play MS Baseball, we just want to see what we have for numbers registered for baseball before we open it up.  As the actual season gets closer, 8th graders may play in some 9th grade games, but that will be determined later.

I hope that I've explained that clearly enough. Please sign up accordingly. 

The sooner you can get registered via FamilyID, the sooner you can start receiving information from the school and our coaches about the upcoming seasons.  

You will need to know your email that you used the last time  you registered via FamilyID and your password.  If this is your first time registering, you will need to create an account.  

We did experience some issues with FamilyID during the early spring, but those have been resolved.  Starting in the Fall of 2023, we will be going to a different platform for our registration process.  More information regarding this exciting improvement will be posted the first of the summer.

We will be using FamilyID for ALL SUMMER sports. Students will not be able to sign up in our office.  If anyone needs help with this process or needs a computer to us, please contact the support number below or the Activity Office:  randy.bolton@clarke.k12.ia.us 

BEFORE YOU REGISTER:

• You must have a valid/signed Physical Exam.

• All physicals must be uploaded and NOT brought to the Activities Office.

INFORMATION NEEDED TO REGISTER:

It will be necessary to have the following information handy to allow for accurate completion of your online registration:

1. Doctor/Dentist information  2) Health Insurance Information  3) Emergency Contacts w/phone numbers

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

A parent/guardian should register by clicking on this link:

Follow these steps:

1. To find your program, click on the link provided by the Organization above and select the registration form under the word Programs.

2. Next click on the blue Register Now button and scroll, if necessary, to the Create Account/Log In green buttons. If this is your first time using FamilyID, click Create Account. Click Log In, if you already have a FamilyID account.

3. Create your secure FamilyID account by entering the account owner First and Last names (parent/guardian), E-mail address and password. Select I Agree to the FamilyID Terms of Service. Click Create Account.

4. You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account. (If you don’t see the email, check your E-mail filters (spam, junk, etc.).

5. Click on the link in your activation E-mail, which will log you in to FamilyID.com

6. Once in the registration form, complete the information requested. All fields with a red* are required to have an answer.

7. Click the Continue button when your form is complete.

8. Review your registration summary.

9. Click the blue Submit button.  After selecting ‘Submit’, the registration will be complete.  You will receive a completion email from FamilyID confirming your registration.
