📚✨ Literacy is ALIVE at Clarke Middle School! ✨📚
At tonight’s board meeting, our Middle School ELA team shared all about the Amplify curriculum and the amazing learning happening in their classrooms!
They highlighted the engaging units and the creative, hands-on projects our students have been diving into. From solving the mystery of who killed Edgar Allan Poe to producing their own podcasts inspired by Romeo and Juliet, our students aren’t just reading literature… they’re experiencing it!
Critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and FUN are all part of literacy at Clarke. We are so proud of our ELA team for bringing learning to life and giving our students opportunities to think deeply and create boldly.

Yesterday we celebrated FFA Week in the BEST way...with Drive Your Tractor to School Day!
Our FFA students kicked things off with an awesome tractor parade around the secondary building and then made their way over to the elementary… and let’s just say, our elementary students LOVED it! The smiles, waves, and excitement were priceless as they watched those big tractors roll by!
To make it even sweeter, some of our “up-and-coming” students (staff members’ little ones!) joined in on the fun with their own tractors. 🚜💚 Future FFA members in the making!
What a fantastic way to celebrate agriculture, leadership, and school pride all in one parade!

This week, our incredible FFA members didn’t wait until Friday… they brought the energy EARLY with a special Fist Bump Friday to celebrate FFA Week! 👊✨
Students were greeted with smiles, encouragement, and lots of fist bumps to start their day the best way possible. It’s always amazing to see our FFA members stepping up to spread positivity and school spirit!
Thank you to our FFA students for leading the way and reminding us what it means to serve, lead, and make someone’s day a little brighter.

Ms. Wright's eighth grade earned a reward and fun day in science today to help break up the winter blahs by having a glow day! But, we were still learning science! Chemical reactions, physics, rocks that glow, and building. Students loved it!

Reminder: There is a FREE Community Dinner in the HS Cafeteria at 6:00 tonight to celebrate FFA Week. Students and families of all ages are welcome!

Today, our students had an incredible opportunity to job shadow at Clarke County Hospital!
Throughout the day, students explored a variety of departments, met healthcare professionals, and gained firsthand insight into the many careers that keep a hospital running. From patient care to behind-the-scenes operations, they were able to see the teamwork, compassion, and skill that make a difference every single day.
We are so grateful to Clarke County Hospital for opening their doors and investing in our students’ futures. Experiences like this help our learners connect classroom knowledge to real-world careers ... and maybe even spark a future in healthcare!

3rd grade has wrapped up their unit on space and launched right into a new adventure... organisms! Students in Mrs. Gray’s 3B class will work towards answering the unitphenomenon question:
Why are some organisms less likely to survive in certain environments? 🤔
Using research cards, students are exploring evidence, asking great questions, and building their understanding of how environments impact living things. Curiosity is high and the learning is just getting started! 🔍
