Gentlemen on and off the mat! Last Friday, the CCHS boys wrestling team brought the energy and positivity to the elementary school for Fist Bump Friday! 👊 These role models showed what it means to be leaders, both in competition and in our community. 📣 HUGE shout-out to the Elementary Student Council for their amazing generosity! Today, Miss Follmann’s class hosted Fireside Reading, and it was such a special time! Families and staff joined students to share the joy of reading together. 💜📖 Thank you to Miss Follmann, the students, families, and staff for making this event so wonderful. Moments like these are what makes Clarke so amazing!

Our Physical Science students are kicking off their "Astronaut Lab" (a.k.a. the Egg Drop Lab)! 🥚🚀 Their mission? To keep their astronauts (cotton balls) safe in their capsule (cup). Students are getting creative as they: 📝 Set up a budget 📐 Design a blueprint 🛠️ Build their capsule Today, the construction phase began, and the excitement is sky-high! 🌌

🎶✨ What a magical evening! Thursday’s choir concert showcased the incredible talents of our 6th-12th grade choirs. The students sounded absolutely beautiful, with their harmonies leaving the audience in awe. There was even a surprise visit from The Grinch to bring some extra holiday cheer! 🎄💚 The night concluded with a breathtaking candlelight performance that left the auditorium silent in admiration. 🌟 A huge shoutout to our amazing students for their hard work and dedication, and to Ms. Owens and Mrs. Pohlmann for their outstanding leadership in creating such a memorable program. We couldn’t be prouder! ❤️🎤

🍎💪 War Against Hunger Success! The 4H (and community) teamed up against Clarke County Hospital in an epic battle to fight hunger—and WOW, what an incredible outcome! Together, the two groups collected over 10,000 food items! It filled an entire ambulance, truck, SUV, and van!! 🎉 🏆 Clarke County Hospital walked away with the big WIN, but the real winners are the people of the Clarke community and the families served by our food pantry. 💜 We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone’s amazing effort and generosity! A huge thank you to Mrs. Baumann and Mrs. Boyd's classes for helping unload and start sorting through all the food for the pantry! ----- 🍎💪 ¡Éxito en la Guerra Contra el Hambre! ❄️🏀 Last week, we had an amazing time at our Winter Sports Kick-Off! Each fall activity was recognized, and we celebrated with some super fun games. 🎉 🎶 Musical Chairs was a blast, and Girls Basketball claimed the victory! 🏆 Meanwhile, the Seniors showed off their creativity and won the "Dress a Teacher as a Snowman" contest! ⛄👏 We're wishing ALL our winter sports teams the best of luck this season—go out there and make us proud! ----- ❄️🏀 ¡La semana pasada tuvimos un gran evento con nuestro Inicio de Temporada de Deportes de Invierno! 🎶 Calling All Clarke Band Alumni! 🎶 Mark your calendars for Friday, December 13, and join the Clarke High School band for a fun-filled pep band night during the home games against Albia! 🎺🥁🎷 Here’s the plan: 🕠 5:30 PM – The band room opens for alumni to gather. 🕔 5:45 PM – Pep band begins playing in the high school gym. 🎵 The band will play before the varsity girls' game, at halftime, and between the varsity girls' and boys' games. 🎼 Music will be provided! 📯 Limited school instruments are available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.
