Thank you to the students, families, community partners, and volunteers who visited the Back to School Wellness Fair last night! Over 225 bags of school supplies were given, approximately 80 haircuts were received, 300 hot dogs were eaten, over 30 screenings and immunizations were completed and there were countless interactions with our incredible community partners. For the first (and second!) time at a Back to School Wellness Fair there were two thoughtful students who donated their hair to Wigs for Kids of Michigan. Thank you, Talia and Katana! Students who visited at least 8 community partners were eligible to be entered into a drawing for a Staycation from Lakeside Casino and Resort. The winner is Savannah Leonard (9th grade)! Congratulations, Savannah! Más de 225 mochilas con útiles escolares fueron repartidas, aproximadamente se dieron 80 cortes de pelo, se comieron 300 perros calientes, más de 30 chequeos y vacunas fueron realizados y hubo innumerables interacciones con nuestros increíbles compañeros de la comunidad. Por la primera (y segunda!) vez en la Feria de Bienestar de Regreso a Clases, hubo dos estudiantes que donaron su cabello a Wigs for Kids of Michigan! Gracias, Talia y Katana! Los estudiantes que visitaron por lo menos 8 compañeros de la comunidad fueron elegibles para entrar en la rifa de una vacaestadía de parte del Casino Lakeside y Resort. El/La ganador(a) es Savannah Leonard! ¡Felicidades Savannah! 👟🥫Shout out to the Clarke Community High School Boys and Girls Cross Country team for helping stock the Clarke Food Pantry yesterday after practice! These student-athletes have made community service one of their team goals this year and we were thrilled the Clarke Food Pantry was their first service project! 👟🥫Reconocimiento especial para los chicos y chicas de la Preparatoria Comunitaria Clarke del equipo de Campo Traviesa por ayudar a abastecer el dispensario de comida después de su práctica! Estos estudiantes-atletas han hecho del trabajo comunitario una de sus metas este año y estamos muy emocionados de que el dispensario de comida haya sido su primer proyecto de servicio.

Attention 5th Grade Students! If you are interested in playing in the 5th grade band, please join Mrs. Hardy for the 5th Grade Band Display Night on August 24th at 7:00 pm in the Elementary Cafeteria.

Clarke Middle School Football Camp will be on August 15th & 16th from 6:00-7:30 pm at the MS practice field across from the pool. Student-athletes should wear shorts and cleats (if possible).

Earlier this week CCSD administrators and administrative assistants participated in safety exercises. First, they practiced how to operate a fire extinguisher. 🧯 Next, administrators were taught how to drive a bus, in case of an emergency, by Clarke Transportation Director, Randy Clyde. 🚌 Safety is a priority and CCSD is taking steps to make sure students, staff and community feel prepared and safe!

🎶 Clarke High School Marching Band is in full swing! Students are preparing for their fall show, Les Miserables! 🎶

The Back to School Wellness Fair will take place on Thursday, August 17th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the HS Gym. This event is free for all CCSD students of all ages. We will have many local resources and community partners present. Below are some FREE services being offered: -Immunizations (offered at no cost if eligible, please bring insurance card if applicable) -Dental, Lead, and Vision screenings -Haircuts -School Supplies - Mental Health Resources -Dinner and so much more!
